Universal Devastation -ユニバーサル荒廃

As most of you already know, Japan is facing a serious, gruesome natural disaster. The tsunami that has hit the archipelago is the biggest in Japanese history. They were up against an 8.9 earthquake on the Richter scale and 10-meter tsunami. Families are homeless, jobless, and starving. Children are alone on the streets and it is horrible to hear about let alone, sit down while others are looking for a safe place at this very moment. Not only is this horrible disaster impacting Japan, it is also affecting 50 other countries who are on tsunami alert.

Below is a link directing you to one of the many relief groups created to help Japan through this tough situation vv

Despite all these natural disasters occurring, the biggest situation that everybody is worrying about is the nuclear emergency. As reported in the Daily News, “A cooling system failure occurred at the Tohoku Electric Power Co’s Onagawa facility and the process to fix it was "not going as planned," an administrator at the plant said.” The nuclear crisis will come into effect if radioactivity leaks from a nuclear power plant. The United Nations recorded that four of the Japanese nuclear power plants located near the center of the disaster have been shut down due to this emergency.  On the news it has been said that the country is releasing iodine pills as a precautionary measure to prevent future health problems from the radiation, but this has not been confirmed yet.

^^ Above is a link to the Daily News article regarding Japan’s status.

As you probably know, I am a big fan of Lady Gaga and she has once again, come through at a time when Japan needs it the most. Aside from her having two tattoos from Japan that show her admiration to the country prior to the disaster, she has also started a relief fund. She has designed a bracelet worth $5 that features "We Pray for Japan" and a red hand in the shape of Lady Gaga’s famous “monster” claw.

Japan is in a horrible condition/predicament and things aren’t really getting much better. This monstrous catastrophe is impacting the lives of many especially in the long run. Over 10,000 people have been reported injured and many dead. I believe that we should all do whatever it is that you can to help contribute to Japan in their time of pleading for help and aid. Whether it’s donating money to praying for the country, help is help and they will not turn it down.
We should all pray that this doesn’t result in the next Chernobyl incident. For those who are unaware of the disaster that Ukraine faced in 1986, it was a horrible accident that occurred at a nuclear plant due to untrained personnel working. The steam explosion and fires released 5% of the radioactive reactor core into the atmosphere and downwind.  To this day, people cannot reside in certain parts of the city because of something that occurred two and a half decades ago.  For further information  regarding Chernobyl, click on the link posted below.

  2. Yes I know that you have great sympathy for these innocent people! And lmao I know you hate Lady Gaga lol, and see, she is a good person!!!

I'm glad that it was informative to you, it's a great thing to know about World History, and hopefully Japan doesn't end in the same condition as them.

  3. It's a shame as to what happened in Japan. I feel for these people because no one deserves to be out on the street starving or without homes/jobs. Natural disasters are so deadly and in my opinion one of the scariest things on earth. You can never be 100% sure as to when they are going to happen or how bad they might turn out. There were vacancies in Mexico as well. I know this because my sister was there recently (on her honeymoon) and they were moving people in hotel rooms to higher level floors. It's crazy that it's not only effecting just Japan but plenty of other places as you said as well. It's such a great thing that Lady Gaga is doing ( where can i buy a bracelet?;)). I will definitely be praying for all these people because that's the most I'm able to do/:

  4. I know it truly is Claudia. I agree with you 100% that natural disasters are one of the scariest things we can face. And I'm sorry about your sister, I hope she's okay. 5. I agree. I haven't really watched the news or read about this tragedy but I know it was awful! Seeing these pictures made me think about all the families that died and their houses and such getting swept away and to end up having nothing at the end of the day. I can't imagine the people..what they must be doing right now..it's devastating.

  8. Did I say Lady Gaga's amazing pieces of art will help the country? NO, I didn't. Yes, I had to mention that for the simple fact that I'm a fan of Lady Gaga, if you don't like what I write than don't read it cause your ego is too big and it seems as if you think your opinion is the only what that matters, news flash IT'S NOT! When that "creep" gave fans at a Mets game the middle finger salute, I was actually watching with enjoyment! She's a Yankee fan along with me so I felt it was quite entertaining!

You may be disgusted by her actions and lyrics but I'm not and frankly, I don’t care what anybody else thinks about her. Our youth may be becoming more sexualized but I say do what you want! Who cares? Besides you of course! ABSOLUTELY NOBODY IS FORCED TO LIKE LADY GAGA, IT'S A CHOICE AND IF THEY DO, THAT'S THEIR DECISION. Just because you may not like her doesn't mean everybody else doesn't and are being "forced." And what's your definition of a lady?

P.S. - You totally misinterpreted my whole blog, I wrote about Japan not just Lady Gaga who I briefly mentioned. She has created a fund and is donating to Japan, I admire her for that. But the point of my blog was to discuss and inform people regarding Japans current state. Next time you want to comment please don’t pick out one minor detail (Lady Gaga), try getting the bigger picture next time and stop thinking so arrogantly.

  9. Lady Gaga's "stupid tattoos" are there because she supports and admires Japan. Tattoos are a form of ART in which people can express themselves and if that's a way she wants to then she can. Obviously a tattoo isn't going to save a life or go back in time to prevent a horrible disaster that happened but it was a detail that was relevant to what Anthony was writing about because he was in fact talking about Japan right? And that her tattoos relate to it, right?! So go Ant for adding a small detail to your blog that relates 100% to it! :D

  10. The accidents with nuclear energy in Chernobyl and now in Japan should lead us to think about nuclear power. The United States maybe wants to take these accidents into consideration and put funds into gathering knowledge about nuclear energy to prevent any other future accidents dealing with this problem. We already have seen the problems that Japan has faced, so now we need to worry about the future.
